Madame Claude's take on Sunday’s Golden Globes
I was pleased to see several leading ladies wearing hair styles that hinted at a bygone era.
These looks showed off a polished and pristine retro-inspired glamour long missing .
The best Actress in a Drama category winner Jessica Chastain wowed me in a style that shouted "vintage Hollywood glamour" .
The long flowing waves, pinned neatly behind her ears,
and a bold middle part creates somewhat of a 1920s silent movies feel. Well this look was anything but silent it indefinably got everyone talking.
One of my favorites was Naomi Watts’
side-swept faux bob. I would describe her look as “a bit more modern but still keeping the feel of old-Hollywood,”
Jessica Lange plays a 60s nun with a questionable past in American Horror Story: Asylum, but she exuded 1940s glamour at the Globes. The sexy waves created with this style complimented her
L’Wren Scott gown perfectly.
Isla Fisher became a modern day Veronica Lake on the Golden Globes red carpet. This look creates her gloriously-touchable waves for the big night.
This look combined Old Hollywood and Deco references in a unique way by creating loose and modern flow Amy Adams’ Globes hair style. The Red carpet head-turning style featured a new take on the classic Marcel wave and a small twisted bun placed on the side of the nape to complete the look.
All these looks can be created by any of the Claude ThomasSalon and Spa's staff.
